Location: NYC Duration: 12 months Start: ASAP (On Monday) Rate: OPEN Details: InfoSphere Specialist --We have an immediate need for an InfoSphere Specialist for NYC for a long term consulting position. --Must have extensive experience with IBM's InfoSphere. Platform Administration: * Review the physical and logic architecture views * Validate start and stop scripts * Apply best practice for establishing backup agents and scheduling * Validate and apply Fix patch (IBM's custom patch for fixing known defect with database connection) * Identify standard procedures for testing and installation of application patch for InfoSphere, DS engine and desktops * Identify set of standards for configuration settings for DataStage; optimization on disk space and memory to the environment (including adjustments to VM memory allocation, i.e. 1 node for every 2 GB of memory) * Identify standard practice for managing HEAP size InfoSphere Development: * Handle transactional rollbacks * Optimize error logging, system error troubleshooting * Analyze and apply best practice methods for service deployments (including purge files; cleanup and maintenance to dev and test environments) * Identify standards for running Director tool for cleaning up aborted sessions * Provide best practice for managing space for service deployments * Identify configuration setting for Data Stage scratch space; settings in configuration file * Remedy excessive persistent connections Thanks, Alexandra Castillo Corona Technology Staffing, Inc.
