Note:  Important that the candidate have project management skills, running
teams and dealing with end users.

 

SUMMARY 

Responsible for developing / configuring software applications to meet
strategic business needs. Assist in the entire life cycle of the solution
process, including analyzing user and business needs, building consensus on
solutions, customizing /configuring software, and implementing the solution.


 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.

 

§  Work with management to develop strategy for business process improvement
opportunities

§  Perform ongoing analysis of existing processes to identify systems gaps /
better utilization of current systems

§  Follow Six Sigma / Project Management process for all projects

§  Follow Six Sigma / Project Management process for all projects which
includes:

§  Collaborating with project champion to define project scope, goals, and
deliverables

§  Developing detailed project plans and associated project documentation

§  Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path

§  Using appropriate tools to plan and schedule project timelines and
milestones

§  Tracking and reporting project status to management

§  Responsible for detailed project planning, tracking and reporting to
management. 

§  Responsible for leading assigned projects and providing detailed project
planning, tracking and reporting to management. 

§  Perform analysis to determine scope and objectives for business and/or
technical requirements.

§  Initiate the review of existing systems to evaluate performance and
functionality effectiveness; conduct root-cause analysis to identify
problems areas and risks in systems or application design.  Identify
improvement opportunities in line with best business practices.

§  Conduct feasibility studies pertaining to the acquisition or development
of new information systems; i.e., cost-benefit, ROI, SWOT, Pro/Con, etc.

§  Effectively communicate the functional requirements and technical
alternatives to business customers and other technology groups.

§  Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most
efficient and cost effective solution considering existing systems,
available technology, the capacity and limitations of equipment, operating
time and form of desired results. 

§  Develop / implement software solutions based on requirements and design
specifications.

§  Design and conduct a detailed systems testing plan to ensure an accurate
and effective systems/application implementation. 

§  Effectively communicate with all levels of management

§  Provide guidance to lower level analysts.

QUALIFICATIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Computer Science or  related education from
four-year college or university; with five to seven years of related
experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. SAP
configuration / programming experience is required. 

 

Successful candidates must have at least 3 -5 years experience with
Logistics functions within the SAP WM and MM modules to support and develop
solutions to address business issues and/or improve business operations and
usage of the systems.  Activities may include:

·         Interacting with functional areas to gain deep understanding of
business processes and challenges

·         Identifying opportunities to improve system functionality and
business processes

·         Customizing SAP Warehouse Management inbound (receiving, putaway),
internal (transfers, cycle counts), and outbound (picking, packing, staging,
shipping) processes

·         Customizing SAP Materials Management processes (Procurement,
Material Master, Inventory)

·         Defining test conditions and test scripts

 

Knowledge of Handling Units, Warehouse setups, RF, Materials Planning, and
Invoice verification is preferred.

 

Company currently has the following SAP modules deployed: SD, PP/PI, MM, QM,
FI/CO, WM, HCM, BW, and Portal.
