POSITION: Technical Support Analyst
Location: South Plainfield, NJ Duration: 3 months Start: ASAP RATE: open Details: Helpdesk support role. mid to senior level. Seeking a PC Technical Support Analyst. The ideal applicant will have at least 3-5 years of experience applying help desk/troubleshooting skills in a networking environment. This role offers the motivated candidate the opportunity to provide higher-level support, as well as working on the design and implementation of projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate: * The ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form to technical and non-technical people. * Proven customer service and follow-up skills. * Outstanding troubleshooting and problem solving abilities. * Strong organizational and prioritizing skills. * Excellent documentation skills. * Responsibility as a self-motivated team member, with a passion for technology, and both mentored and independent learning. * Bachelor*s degree or equivalent work experience. Applicants should posses experience supporting end-users in the following areas: * Install and maintain a Windows based LAN environment including desktop PC*s and laptops, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, Win XP, anti-virus products, printers, PDA*s, Microsoft Office, HP Jetdirect, and e-mail * A basic understanding of networking infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, and switches. * Experience with a variety of hardware manufacturers and software vendors. * Manage help desk related calls. Develop trouble tickets, issue analysis, resolution order, and solution. Contact vendors where appropriate. * Handle new hire Windows IDs. Provided password resets. * Experience in performance monitoring and trending; determine resource consumption estimates, recommend system upgrades, and handle implementation of approved upgrades. * Install all software and updates as needed.
