POSITION:    Jr. Desktop Support Technician

 

 

Location:   Baton, Rouge, LA 

 

 

Duration:  3 months contract to hire

 

 

Start:  ASAP

 

 

RATE:  open

 

Details:

 

Desktop support role. Junior level.

The ideal applicant will have at least 1 year of experience applying help
desk/troubleshooting skills in a networking environment. 

 

This role offers the motivated candidate the opportunity to grow with the
company.

The successful candidate will demonstrate: 
* The ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form to
technical and non-technical people. 
* Outstanding troubleshooting and problem solving abilities. 
* Strong organizational and prioritizing skills. 
* Responsibility as a self-motivated team member, with a passion for
technology, and both mentored and independent learning. 
* Install and maintain a Windows based LAN environment including desktop
PC*s and laptops, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, Win XP, anti-virus products,
printers, Microsoft Office, and e-mail 
* A basic understanding of networking infrastructure such as routers,
firewalls, and switches. 
* Handle new hire Windows IDs. Provided password resets. 
* Install all software and updates as needed.
