Location: Chicago, IL (lisle, IL) Rate: Open Duration: 6 months contract to hire Details: Skills: J2EE, Jboss, JSP developer with Unix 2-5 years of experience is ideal. Should be able to write pages in JSP and HTML. * Candidates should have the ability to travel within North America and the Caribbean The job duties and responsibilities As PROGRAMMER ANALYST/ DEVELOPER at COMPANY you have an important role in our projects: customizing and implementing our portfolio of products. Working on customer projects you will lead requirement workshops with customers, write specifications and technical designs and then realize them using our own development framework with JAVA, JSP and ORACLE SQL on UNIX/ LINUX platforms. You will work throughout the project lifecycle, from analysis to final delivery, to validate that each solution is properly scoped, designed, implemented and tested to meet our client's business needs. The Technical Developer/ Consultant: * Designs systems and programs to meet highly complex business needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. * Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents highly complex programs. Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. * Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation. * Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks. Requirements Location: Lisle, Illinois (when not travelling) Required Experience and Training: * 4 years degree or equivalent in computer science or related field * 3+ years development experience working with multi-tiered applications Required Skills and Knowledge: * Interpersonal and leadership skills. * Technical aptitude and displayed ability to grasp a general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies with knowledge and strong, hands-on experience in these areas: * Unix/Linux; * Scripting (e.g. sh, ksh, perl); * SQL and PL/SQL; * Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, etc.); * XML; * Java/JSP * Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations. * Ensure a professional perception founded in neatness, organization, and maturity. * Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen. * Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct. * Ability work in a structured and methodical way to achieve high quality deliveries * Ability to work both independent or within an integrated team * No matter what it takes, you get the job done, and if it is needed you learn it Preferred Skills and Experience: * Experience with financial applications * Experience with Application Servers (Jboss, Tomcat) * Understanding of the Telecommunications industry Working Conditions: * Project work may require Interstate, intrastate, or international travel - up to 50% * Normal office environment Thanks, Alexandra Castillo Corona Technology Staffing, Inc.
