POSITION: Visual Basic Programmer
Location: Hartford, CT Duration: 6 months contract Start: ASAP RATE: 40-45/hr Details: Migration Windows XP operating systems to Windows 7. Upgrade from Office 2003 to Office 2010. Upgrade from Visual Basic 6 to VB 2010, when applicable Visual C# 2010 (i.e. .Net Framework 3.5, 4.0) . In certain instances we will reengineer existing company applications. Application architecture: * Enterprise applications (n-tier) * Client server (.Net Framework 4.0) * ASP.Net intranet applications (.Net Framework 3.5 SP1) DBMS: * Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 * IBM i-Series DB2 Requirements: * Computer savvy self-starter * Ability to work within evolving IT infrastructure * Team member with good communication skills Programming experience: (5+ years) . Visual Basic, Visual C# using Microsoft product suite: Visual Studio 2008,2010 . SQL Server .
