The candidate will work very closely with various IS/IT, Shared Services technical teams as well as vendors to lead activities pertaining to: Architecture Analysis and Planning Capacity Planning Software Installation and Configuration Performance Engineering Release and build engineering System and Platform Monitoring * Primary Responsibilities:* The installation, configuration and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a Staples Intranet Portal environment Develop detailed design standards for use in collaboration projects and initiatives that are aligned with long range strategies, business input, and technology lifecycles Provides thought leadership, innovation and management, as well as, determining the best practices necessary for resolving complex business issues Responsible for overall architecture of the portal solution, detailed system designs, installation and configuration of all products and management of application solutions delivered through a WebSphere Portal based intranet Manage IBM WebSphere Content Management, WebSphere Portal and Lotus Connections implementations including operation, upgrades, monitoring, security & deployment Maintain, develop and update the structured Portal Intranet framework (security implementation, design, layout, graphical content and navigation.)
