*SOLUTION THAT ROLE WILL WORK ON:* • 1500+ mobile devices (Motorola MC70) which service representatives use to determine order and service information. • Orders are fulfilled at the customer and data entry is performed to complete the order and provide the customer a receipt • Complete orders and ‘End of Day’ data is sent, via cell signal, back to the service layer and database for further processing within the Order Management and other systems. • All devices are provisioned, updated and managed using MSP • The devices also have their own file system for storing and retrieving transaction data as well as device configuration/etc. • Each drive also utilizes a portable printer which is connected wirelessly to the mobile device • Data sync processes occur nightly and weekly. As well data can be downloaded on-demand when necessary • Device uses wireless connection (cell signal) to send/retrieve transaction data real-time and can also work in a ‘out of connectivity’ mode. *TASKS ROLE PERFORMS:* ? Perform business system analysis for moderate projects or sub-tasks of large projects. ? Create system design documentation in support of projects, production support, etc. ? Analysis, code and test changes to programs, database objects and batch jobs. ? Develop test plans for development unit/integration testing ? Support user acceptance testing ? Support change management processes ? Interface directly with business areas in relation to specific project or assignments. ? Provide on-going production system support, including problem analysis, programming and 24 hour on-call support for specific individually assigned systems. ? Work with other IT functions (infrastructure, database, etc.) to support IT driven process change ? Manage application components on 1500+ devices *REQUIRED SKILLS:* ? 5+ Years as a mobile developer ? .NET Framework 3.5 ? .NET developer for 5+ years ? SQL Server 2005/2008 ? Visual studio – Debugging skills, TFS ? Understanding of WebServices (WCF), ASP.NET ? Third party controls – e.g. Resco controls, Wrappers for system level dlls, API extensions (Bluetooth/printer) ? Coding related – LINQ, Attributes, Extension methods, Interfaces, Model View controller design, Singleton design pattern, SQL queries ? Understanding of Code performance – Object creation/deletion, lists vs. arrays, string builder vs. string appends etc., basic LINQ performance idea, basic threading (creator/consumer, locking etc) ? Other – FTP, Windows mobile 5 & SQL CE & .NET CF 3.5 – nice to have. Understanding of some of the performance constraints on the Mobile device (application space, volatile vs. non-volatile memory, on device memory vs. external storage) *NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:* * *? 1-2 years developing transactional based systems ?
