Position:SAP BW/BI Duration: 6 months Rate – Open Location: Atlanta, GA Lead IT Developer The Lead Developer is responsible for the design and development of SAP BW/BI solutions. This position requires deep SAP BW and other SAP technical skills. This position is responsible for developing an optimal technical design that fits in with the overall architecture strategy, best practice guidelines and meets all business requirements. The Lead Developer must work closely with architects to ensure proper system design ensuring the highest quality implementations from design through QA to production. The SAP includes full suite SAP-Retail, POSDM, CRM, SCM/F&R, EFI, and GTS systems. The environment also encompasses Solution Manager, Enterprise Portals, and XI/PI. As such the Lead Developer must have demonstrated experience working in complex SAP environments. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities · View software packages, products and define, prioritize, plan and implement solutions across multiple complex projects. · Ensure the team comprehends and applies the established processes, policies, standards and procedures. · Excellent understanding of the entire project life cycle. Ability to guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. · Assists multiple team members and other project leads in the day-to-day activities related to project work. · Provide status reports to Manager and review boards on complex development projects. · Guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. · Ensure compliance and conduct appropriate test reviews as necessary. · Strong ability to view packages and products to determine their viability within the solution being considered, or if they would be a good solution in other areas. · Typically reports to Manager Information Services, Senior Project Manager or Director Information Services. Education Required · Bachelor degree or equivalent degree in a math, engineering, computer science or business preferred. · Bachelor degree or equivalent degree is another related field of study would be considered an asset. Years of Relevant Work Experience · Five or more years direct experience with SAP including ERP queries, SAP BI/BW end-to-end experience, and other SAP data analysis and reporting technologies. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies · Five to Seven years of work experience with SAP in a retail environment. · Masters Degree in Computer Science or relative work experience. · End-to-End SAP BW hands-on design, development and implementation experience with wide and deep skills in extraction, modeling and reporting. · Support experience and working in remote teams would be a plus. · Experience with ABAP, BWA, Basis/DB/Portal/Security, ERP/other SAP would be a plus. · Experience with SAP Integrated Planning and/ or MAP is desired but not required. · Transport Mgmt, OSS notes, experience with BW systems of Large volume and complex solutions. · Previous experience in technical project leadership role. Understands the financial implications of the project (i.e. software capitalization, cost/benefits, etc.). · Ability to work independently with minimal direction. · Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical. · Strong decision making abilities.
