Oracle R12 Data Conversion Consultant
Duration : 4 months - March 01, 2011 through June 30, 2012 Location: Vienna, VA Requirement- We need a data conversion lead consultant for our Oracle Release 12 upgrade project. Needs to possess extensive experience in data conversions related to the Projects, Financials, HR and Purchasing, OTL and Payroll modules. Resource should have recent implementation experience in these modules along with upgrade experience. Must have successfully completed data conversions for at least 3 life cycle implementations. Technical Skill Level and Responsibilities: . Should have experience in designing, developing, and testing applications in multiple system environments. . Strong knowledge of writing complex to medium conversion programs. . Should possess 80% technical knowledge and 20% functional on all aspects of conversion programs. . Should have experience in Validating and massaging data to ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity . Combines multiple technologies to provide alternative physical solutions. . Performs analysis of business models, logical specifications and/or user requirements to design solutions for the application environment. . Provides expertise throughout all phases of the project including data analysis, data conversion, data validation and documentation. . The primary responsibilities include analysis of the data structures/standards, design and development of translation and validation reports, execution of manual and automated validation of converted data. . Responsible for determining and planning the conversion process and methodology for the ETL and SOA , analyzing and mapping data structures and formats, obtaining agreement from the teams regarding mapping and business rules, transforming the data as per requirements, testing and validating the conversions, reporting the results, and loading the transformed data to the new format. . Create detailed documentation on all aspects of the data analysis, conversion and validation process. . Perform ad hoc tasks as needed related to data analysis, conversion or translations such as receiving and transmitting files over the network, loading content into databases, converting images and graphics, and participating on special development tasks. . Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience in Oracle 10G and DB2 databases are required. . Data modeling experience is a big plus. . Solid knowledge in SQL/PLSQL. . Strong communication skills and ability to interface with the source systems' technical teams, business teams and project managers.
