I have 4 Java Development opportunities open with a client of mine here in Des Moines. I have provided a description below. Please let me know if you have anyone that would be a fit. *DESCRIPTION: * Team focuses on reporting and all the back office server applications for my client’s operations. 3 primary tasks that will be going on for contract candidates: - Continue with new product development - Continue with the rewright of the existing Legecy system into a Unix based platform - New financial reform projects that have specific deadlines - - New rules came down from Visa & MasterCard on how to work with their fixed network. - - Updating the retail stores POS (Point of Sale) reporting for the “Durbin Amendment” – Credit card reading machines in stores send the transaction data from the credit card to Shazam, Shazam then needs to record and provide that info to the Government as a check on the retail stores Sales from credit card transactions (Kinda like another way for the government to audit what the stores are reporting as income) Skills needed: - The primary function will be coding and *then doing their own testing of their applications in a parallel environment* - Core backend Java Developers coding in a Client Server environment, DB2 database - Need to be able to w*rite their own SQL* - Experience Implemented *Data Access Objects (DAO Design pattern) *using* JDBC* - Experience with “Corba” is a plus - *Ability to take design specs and requirments documents and “run with it” – NO HAND HOLDING* - Communication skills are very important – Working on a team of 9 people - The fancy new web interface development tools are not likely to be used, this is a core development role! -- *Kevin Swarky* Swarky Solutions -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
