Location Southern California Length 6 wks Rate DOE we would be looking for primarily a PS 8.8 OM functional specialist, Inventory module knowledge secondary. Project is essentially to look at our current OM processes, many of which happen outside of PeopleSoft, and better align them with PeopleSoft's capabilities and best practices. We do not have enough PeopleSoft OM knowledge in-house to recommend procedural changes or PeopleSoft capabilities. I would estimate the project at 4 weeks, and start time would be later this month or early May. Responsible for the technical vision, direction, and architecture of the project. . Produce all design documentation including class diagrams, sequence diagrams, and state diagrams. . Translate business needs/requirements into technical solutions. . Define mechanisms of integration with third-party systems. . Assess performance implications of design trade-offs. . Consult with client to ascertain and define need or problem area, and determine scope of investigation required to obtain solution . Manage process to identify, debug, and fix logical or compilation errors. Identify a course of action for debugging complex logical or system problems . Partner with the business to produce the User Interface design. . Liaison between the client and the technology development team in China . Verify that the design established is implemented as specified. . Works with the Project Manager to determine technical activities, durations, and dependencies. . Escalates and resolves issues with the Project Manager when required . Mentors technical resources. Qualifications: . At least 8 years of software development experience. . At least 4 years of experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and Perl) . At least 2 years of experience in software development lead role . Extensive experience in designing applications and producing deliverables . Very good understanding of the software life cycle development process . Experience with Outsourcing or Consulting environment is a plus . Strong communication and customer facing skills - both verbal and written are required. Good listening skills.
