Tableau Developer Dallas, TX 3 month contract *Tableau- must* Oracle SQL- plus SAS- plus BI tools - plus Description Job Description: Designing and building graphic visualizations and reports using Tableau, Excel, SAS and Oracle. Required Skills and Experience: 2+ years of using Tableau to build visualizations and/or dashboards 4+ years of preparing business intelligence reports using any method. Familiarity with delivering results for both the client interface and the web server. Understanding of how to use advanced visualization tools for Business Intelligence. Able to apply and modify Tableau-specific views, including scatter charts, box plots, small multiples, and linked views. Able to translate user requests into effective report and dashboard designs, and work with users to clarify their requests. Ability to read and write SQL is assumed, but the candidate doesn’t have to be an SQL wizard. Desirable Skills and Experience: Tableau 6.0 would be a plus, but deep experience with Tableau 4.x and 5.x is acceptable. Knowledge of Oracle SQL is desired. SAS coding experience would be a big plus, since we are a SAS shop. (However, we also use other technologies, so lack of SAS experience is not a stopper.) Knowledge of mortgage finance and accounting would be very helpful. Experience with other advanced visualization tools such as Spotfire will be considered. Experience with other Business Intelligence tools generally, such as MicroStrategy, Business Objects, and BI cubes would be a nice-to-have. 2 years of related requirements/analysis experience Ability to document business processes Ability to translate high level business requirements into functional and system requirements Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field Knowledge of requirement tools, such as Rational Requisite Pro Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Strong knowledge of SQL for querying databases Regards, A.
