Please find the requirement below and send resumes to [email protected] *Location: WA* *Type: 6 month contract * *Phone hire* *APPLICATION ADMINISTRATOR* Application Administrator for the Tier3 team to provide execution support for their production and pre-production environments located at large data centers. The administrator would be responsible for overseeing instances impacting applications that are to be deployed in a production environment. Additionally, prior to promotion of any application changes to production, the administrator would be responsible for deployment into a pre-production staging environment, and validation of the deployment procedures. The administrator would also be responsible for ensuring that resources are sized properly and a monitoring strategy is developed to ensure that the application is maintained in a healthy state. Availability is a primary responsibility. *Responsibilities:* • Support production and pre-production instances of Microsoft environments, including .Net, SharePoint, AD, Custom and COTS applications. • Define a monitoring and support strategy to insure appropriate availability and disaster recovery. • Define and implement deployment and rollback standards for all application changes to be executed in production and production staging. • Execute periodic health checks for applications and recommend changes that should be executed in the production environment to ensure optimal performance. • Design specifications for new server types based on changing business requirements. Execute on design to create new instances to be propagated through environments including but not limited to Production and Disaster Recovery. • Perform regular reviews with the application business owners to cover application health. *Qualifications:* • 5-10 years of application operations experience with Microsoft products is required. • 5 years’ experience working with Microsoft tools in a multi-tiered highly available production environment required. • 5 years Disaster Recovery support and implementation. • 2+ years’ experience with IBM Cognos • Understanding of application performance in a high availability Real/Virtual environment strongly preferred including the ability to articulate best practice of application production support. • 5 years’ experience with system monitoring solutions such as Nagios and SCOM. • 5 years practical experience in working with backup solutions. Knowledge of Recovery Time and Recovery Point Objectives in relation to data backup management. • Practical knowledge of SAN technology and RAID configurations used for different types of servers. • Practical knowledge of firewalls, load balancing, networks and VMware.
