*Position Type: Contractor*

*Job Description:*
- Seeking an OBIEE developer to join rapidly growing local Business
Intelligence consulting practice. As a
- member of the practice, the consultant will work on project based
development and enhancements for
- various client and business needs. The desired candidate may assume
senior developer role, developing
- and maintaining architectures as well as providing vision, expertise
and technology-based solutions in the
- area of BI system development.
- • Minimum of 4+ years of end to end hands-on experience in design and
development of large scale
- data warehouse, reporting, business intelligence and decision support
systems
- • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in information technology solution
development projects with an
- in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience using the OBIEE suite as a
developer and
- administrator
- • Strong hands-on technical experience in the following areas of OBIEE
development is required: (1)
- Presentation layer (Dashboards and Answers), (2) Metadata (RPD) design,
(3) Physical data model
- development
- • Hands-on experience in all or most of the following areas of OBIEE
administration is required: (a)
- Set up of usage tracking; (b) Skins and styles; (c) Cache management;
(d) Set up of authentication
- and authorization levels including single sign-on, LDAP integration,
and row level security; (e) iBots
- and Delivers; (f) migration of OBIEE code between environments; and (g)
Installation and
- configuration of server and client environment
- • Solid understanding of dimensional modeling concepts and practices,
and experience with Erwin or
- a similar data modeling tool is strongly preferred
- • Strong technical knowledge of OBIEE Admin tool and configuring
repository, RPD & Webcat
- • Experience developing KPIs, executive dashboards, scorecards
(financial and non-financial metrics),
- and ad-hoc reporting (from relational, dimensional, and OLAP data
sources)
- • Extensive experience with design and implementation of enterprise
data warehouses (design
- considerations, star schemas, logical/physical design of relational and
dimensional databases,
- Kimball methodology)
- • Mentor other development staff in report development
- • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- • Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet critical
deadlines in a rapidly changing
- environment
- • High energy, self-motivated, attention to detail, flexible, and
ability to work under pressure
- • Flexibility to work additional hours on an as needed basis to meet
deadlines
