Hi, I can use your help in finding a good *Database Peoplesoft Administrator *Consultant for a long-term *6+ month *contract in *San Francisco, CA*. *The rate is open.* Client is seeking a PeopleSoft administrator and MSSQL DBA capable of tuning, optimizing, and maintaining a backups/restores high-availability configurations, and upgrades (strong preference for MS SQL2005/2008. · This individual will be responsible for deploying and maintaining a high availability, mission critical production PeopleSoft 8.8 application and MS SQL 2008 database, as well as a number of demo, development, and test PeopleSoft instances. · He/she will also be responsible managing MS SQL 2005 database for Microsoft Business Intelligence, must have good working experience with Microsoft products suite including: SSIS, SSRS and SSAS. · He/she is expected to develop productive working relationships in a matrixed organization consisting of functional subject matter experts, software developers and designers, work process owners, project managers, and executive management. · Long term success in the position will be demonstrated by the ability to lead complex infrastructure design and implementation efforts, provide SLA-beating support metrics, mentor less-experienced peers and subordinates, and develop high quality deliverables on schedule and within budget. *POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES* The DBA/PeopleSoft Admin will: · Planning, design, installation, configuration, administration, and support for all infrastructure supporting a PeopleSoft 8 implementation, including: · PeopleSoft application administration. MS SQL database, Application and web servers, Application and database security, High-availability of the · application and database, System monitoring, Backup/Recovery, Maintain Business Intelligence DB, migrate cubes and maintain security. · Work with development teams to identify opportunities for performance optimization within the PeopleSoft application · Database administration to support multiple SQL Server 2005/2008 instances · Provide support of mission critical systems and serve as primary point of contact for coordination and resolution of web server, application server, and Relational database issues with PeopleSoft, Microsoft, and other vendors · Perform production migrations, backups and recovery of databases · Perform tuning and troubleshooting of database, application server, and web server · Install, trouble-shoot and maintain database replication · Manage security and disaster recovery · Assist IT teams and SME team with database related issues · Optimize views, triggers and stored procedures · Document all system architectures and adhere to established operational guidelines *SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE: * · Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, or a related field (exceptional professional experience may be substituted). · 5 years experience supporting PeopleSoft, with a minimum of 3 years spent supporting PeopleSoft 8.x. · Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), database design, modeling and implementation of new data structures. · Experience with BEA Tuxedo and Weblogic. · Ability to provide 24x7 system support on a periodic (scheduled) basis. · Above average written/oral communications skills. · In depth understanding of ERP system logic and data modeling. -- Thanks & Regards Chandra Prakash Maheshwari Technical Recruiter Hevar Systems Inc. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
