Talend 6.0 ETL developer x1

Minneapolis. Prefers onsite.

*Technologies and Tools*:

   - Talend 6.0

*Development Methodology*:

   - Agile

*Skills Needed*:

   - ETL Preferably Talend Development Background
   - Data Mapping, troubleshooting skills
   - SQL Background
   - Rundeck Automation tool
   - Data Warehousing Data Modeling Background

*Requirements*:

   - *Looking for someone to Build ETL scripts that are easy to read, good
   modular components, repeatable, very organized; bring suggestions for
   improvements and changes.*
   - Prefer that CE already has Talend (Doesn’t want to train them in)
   - Look for Talend first, then to other tools.
   - Resource cannot be afraid to ask questions
   - Jumping in the middle of an on-going project, already behind schedule.
   - Self starter
   - Quick but organized worker

Building out a new Database for marketing. Either to support and build
campaigns or to build out data that is coming back from Vendors.

Agile is preferred (just switched from Waterfall in 2017) Still getting
used to Agile

Unique team, functioning as IT, but sits on the business side.

(Company decision to leverage Talend, vs Informatica, DataStage. etc)

Trying to get Data here to there right now.

RunDeck

Will be working closely with the person building out the DataBase –
Architect

Make suggestions on how to integrate into the existing DB

Netezza Appliance is what it’s built on

Screen for the technical stuff. Database, warehouse, etl, SQL

Connecting with team lead for interview times late next.

In a modified Star Schema right now

Source data is coming from internal sources system. Created ETLs to pull
it, created extracts for the firewall, repurposing data.

DataLake

Has a dedicated mixed protocol NAZ Drive

Knows it’ll be tough to find Talend exp, but wants to try

Screening Topics:

   - Database/BI
      - BI – Generic
      - Developer – SQL Server (Optional)
      - ETL – Generic
