The ideal candidate will have experience developing, maintaining and testing Visual Basic based applications. He/she should also be able to troubleshoot, maintain and develop simple solutions to complex business problems. Candidates should have a solid understanding of developing libraries, re-usable modules in Visual basic and have familiarity with bug fix & release process using a ticket based support system. This customer will launch initiative to migrate the existing Visual Basic based platform to next gen technologies, so a candidate with development experience in visual basic and familiarity with .NET and Java will be ideal. *The programmer must have 5+ years’ experience with:* • Visual Basic 6, including the use of program classes and creation of DLLs • SQL Server databases, Oracle, SQL, ADO Experience • Health Level 7 (HL7) record formats • Healthcare industry software development experience • Experience with Software for medical operations or billing/claims • Enjoy working with others in a team atmosphere. • Prefer a small-business, fast paced working environment. • Enjoy maintaining/enhancing code to meet changing customer/industry needs • Release & bug fix management process based on a ticket driven support processes (Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 support models).
