Skills & Experience
prefer 5+ years’ experience – This will be a 6-month engagement on contract
to hire to help us build a .net API in Azure for data presentation through
Power BI, Azure, IBM Blue Mix and Watson.
*Job Description *
Experience in the following (loosely in order of importance):
• Full-stack development of data integration and web-based applications
using C# and ASP.NET MVC
• API development (creation of an API over in-house data sources, as well
as consuming 3rd-party external APIs)
• Version control (Git or TFVC)
• Agile software development practices, including documentation and process
control
• SQL knowledge (data discovery and querying; some administration knowledge
preferred)
• Azure-based service deployment and management
*Notes: *
• Applications and tasks will vary wildly; the developer must be extremely
adaptable and be able to create working prototypes with completely new
technologies.
• The developer will be taking charge of architecting solutions for
presented business challenges. This is a creative process, and many
challenges will not have cookie-cutter solutions.
• This is basically a “startup” initiative within an established company;
the developer will be relied upon as an expert on the subject matter.
*Any one of these certifications is HIGHLY preferred. *
