Contractor: Business Systems Consultant – Foundational Data Reference Data
This position offers the opportunity to work on an initiative in the
Enterprise Data & Analytics organization that will help the organization
setup key golden source/authorize provisioning point data that will be used
across the enterprise in various applications, key reports, analysis,
etc. This role will perform the role equating to a technical business
anlayst/data analyst in support of the project where data domains may
include but not be limited to: Customer/Party, Product, Geography,
Organization, Financial Instrument, Market, Market Intelligence, Industry,
etc. which may evolve or be further refined over time. The primary focus
of the initiative the role will support will be to perform detailed
analysis on key reports used by the bank for risk reporting, SEC reporting,
and regulatory reporting to understand the constructs of the report, the
data sources that feed those reports, the individual data elements and
aggregation points/methods that build the reports, and articulate detailed
requirements that can be built into an Functional Specifications Design
(FSD) documentation, provide inputs into continuous Data Domain/Sub-Domain
development, Data Model Development, and build a traceability between key
project artifacts.
The duties of this contractor role will include
· Examination of Risk, SEC, and Regulatory reports to examine the
various elements on those reports, usage and meaning of the elements,
classification of the elements into a domain/sub-domain proposed taxonomy,
and adding as a part of the detailed analysis various value add flags that
can be used to not only perform analysis within the report but holistically
perform aggregate analysis across all reports to aid in the construction of
requirements
· Analysis and review of Business Requirements Documents provided to
identify gaps, unclear items, questions, etc. that need to be research by
other teams as the documents are reviewed to craft the FSD.
· Assist in the development and writing of requirements for
Functional Specification Design (FSD) documents, document traceability
between FSD Requirements and the BRD requirements.
· Perform data analysis and profiling on data sources to determine
completeness of data.
· Propose initial test case scenarios that can be defined and linked
to the requirements in the FSD that will be reviewed by Quality Assurance
analysts performing SIT Testing for feedback
· Coordinate with the Development team members and Data Modeling
team members to illicit feedback on requirements and make necessary changes
to provide clarity and completeness to the requirements in the FSD.
· Identify questions or issues that can be captured in a centralized
repository for resolution and track those issues remediation to complete
assigned tasks
· Aid in the completion of Source-to-Target Mapping documents to
document the flow of information/transformation from one system to another
as needed
· Interview or solicit requirements from technical or potentially
internal business partners
· Develop process flow diagrams or other typical technical artifacts
as required by the supervisor of the project work.
· Deliver metadata to enterprise metadata repository.
Position Requirements
· *Required: *
*o* *5+ years of business systems analysis experience*
*o* *Experience in analysis of data elements tied to a financial
institutions risk, regulatory, and SEC Reports*
*o* *Experience with SQL on Teradata or Oracle for data
profiling/analysis*
o Prior role in a regulatory reporting capacity at a FDIC insured
financial institution
o Familiarity with Collibra, Teradata, ERWin, or Informatica MDM tools
o Familiarity with Sharepoint as a document repository to store artifacts.
