*Embedded C Software Engineer* Location: Tarrytown, NY Duration: 5+ months Rate: Open *Description:* · *Under the supervision of the Software Functional Manager for Embedded Software, the incumbent is a member of a team of software engineers responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software for use in both advanced technology prototype hardware/software feasibility studies as well as final product system software for integration into embedded medical devices. * · Major Tasks: · Develop and deliver the software design and component software/unit tests for a medical device class of real-time embedded products. · Deliver software solutions in support of full life-cycle implementation of embedded software products and systems utilizing a structured, documented software development process and generally accepted software engineering methods. · Provide detailed input to Embedded Software team members regarding the technical feasibility of proposed designs, technical risks, and potential mitigation strategies. *Required Skills:* · *Proven prior experience in developing embedded software systems that both operate within restricted power/resource constraints as well as require use of real-time operating systems principles/practices. * · *Fluent programming/developing in “C” programming language.* · Excellent oral/written communication skills (passionate, persuasive, and assertive) · Proven record in full life cycle product development and delivery · Experience working in cross functional, multi-site, global development teams · Must have good technical, written, and spoken communication skills.
