Title: Web Focus Developer Location: O'Fallon, MO Duration: 1+ year contract Client: Mastercard (Direct client) Rate: Open Required skills: * Five or more years experience with WebFOCUS design and development. Development and delivery using WebFOCUS 7.7.x and higher, Design and Development of complex HTML launch pages * Proficient in HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, and CSS for creating and interfacing WebFOCUS reports in a self-service environment and expereinced with dynmic template generation. * Development of style sheets used for reporting solutions. * Development experience with MasterFile generation. * Experienced with core Information Builders(IB) products. * Proven personal development with expanding and enhancing skills in core Business Intelligence products when applicable to business needs, operating systems, database management systems and associated client tools. * Experience in obtaining and understanding business requirements and recommending solutions. * Experienced with setting direction around reporting infrastructure and design solutions. * Expereinced with implementing solutions which contain reusable components. * Brings to the position, best practices in reporting solution delivery. * Experience with FOCUS language, Report Caster to schedule reports for delivery (ie. ftp, email, etc), stored procedures, and writing ad-hoc SQL queries with tuning knowledge. * Strong debugging abilities and experience with developing reports using Developer Studio (both within the GUI and direct Focus Language) * Experience with .net front end development. * Experience with Web Focus Administration - including infrastructure and user setup, * Knowledge with Authentication/Authorization system like Active Directory * Database experience using stored procedures and writing ad-hoc queries with tuning knowledge, Experience with Oracle and Netezza data base/appliance. * Experience in working with a large Data Warehouse. Additional skills include: * Strong communication, both oral and written and with excellent interpersonal skills. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. * Strong drive for results and ability to work independently as well as a member of a team. * Proven innovation skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams. * Demonstrated commitment to quality and project timing. * Position may also entail training of additional staff on product. * Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities. Preferred: * Candidate will have experience in setting direction for project implementations. Able to identify alternative solutions to requirements delivery. Proven skills in Waterfall and Agile development.
