Position: QA Tester w / Performance Location: NYC --- Locals only Duration: 1+ year’s Experience: 8+ yrs In-person interview in NYC required, no phone screen prior to in-person *SCOPE OF SERVICES * Responsibilities: • Work with project management team, technical team and business unit in the requirements gathering process to determine high level designs • The candidate should be responsible for diagnose performance bottlenecks, • Conduct performance tuning, running performance benchmarks and building capacity planning models. • Software Performance Engineer should have a very good understanding of software development and the software testing lifecycle, as well as experience in applying software testing techniques, processes, and tools. • Report the results to the management and team lead in timely matter • Assist the support team in deployment • Other related development tasks in the SDLC *Deliverables:* · All documentation regarding system and performance tests · Performance matrix · Performance Test Plans & Test Strategy · Detailed Test Cases, test conditions · Test Scripts · Results of test execution *MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.* Qualified candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance as a performance tester during the testing phase of SDLC: • Ascertaining performance & scalability requirements for each release • Conduct performance tuning in different categories: network, system, platform and application • Help to develop testing artifacts (scripts, monitors, scenarios, etc…) • Diagnose complicated performance issues based on analysis of performance tests execution results (Load, Stress, Scalability) and come up with recommendation for solution • Run performance benchmark tests • Build Capacity Planning/Sizing models • Has diverse experience and interests. Experience with web based application software type as well as a quantitative background. • Ability to see the big picture/system understanding with capability/potential to dive into low level details to support problem isolation • Good understanding of operating systems, esp. memory management, processing and file system structure. • Proven development capabilities in one of the following languages: Java, C++, C. • Experience with working with database: familiarity with the different database entities, familiarity with SQL, DML. Hands on experience with Oracle and MS SQL. • High level understanding of Java/.Net internals (memory heap allocation, garbage collection, caching, connection pooling, etc…) • Good understanding of networking concepts, server-agent communication • Good knowledge and understanding of software testing procedures, practices and tools • Must be able to take strategic direction from executive management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project; • Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance. • Must be able to provide documentation on their work • Must be able to work with HP Load Runner • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources; *DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * • A Masters degree in Computer Science or Mathematics is desired; • Knowledge of BPM Engines and business activity monitoring • Knowledge web services, SOAP UI load script creation • Experienced with formal SDLCs and business analysis methodologies; Working knowledge of business analysis documentation standards • QA certification is desired Regards, BoB -- Cigniti , Inc., -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
