Position: Data ware House w / Micro Strategy Business Intelligence
Domain: Marketing / Medical environment
Duration: 5+ week contract in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Job description
The Technical Analyst will work with the Technical Architect and Business
Analyst to capture the technical requirements, and develop the Technical
Architecture, Data Management Functional Design and Analytic Solution Design
for a Business Intelligence system.
Key Job Functions
• Collect and review existing technical documentation and catalog
existing data and systems
• Conduct individual and group business, functional and technical
requirements discovery and review
Sessions with identified stakeholders
• Develop the Technical Requirements for inclusion in the Requirements
Traceability Matrix
• Develop an understanding of the client’s organization and culture as
it pertains to implementing and using the solution
• Work with the Technical Architect to design and document:
o The platform architecture
o The Data Warehouse and ETL components
o The Analytic components of the solution including, cubes, data mining
algorithms, reports and dashboards.
Qualifications
• Experience working with Business Intelligence initiatives,
preferably within the Marketing and/or Medical environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency and experience in gathering customer
requirements working with all levels and roles of the organization.
• Experience capturing requirements for system interfaces, including
data transformation and mapping.
• Minimum 5 years of Database and Business Intelligence design and
development.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing and developing Microsoft SQL
Server Business Intelligence components including SSIS packages and SSAS
cubes
• Demonstrated proficiency and experience in data mining capabilities in
SQL Server
• Experience designing reports, and dashboards, preferably with Micro
Strategy Business Intelligence Server
• Experience in business intelligence consulting engagements. Assist in the
vision and design of a BI Management solution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
