Experience with **both programming environments a must.* *• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.* *• Experience with customer-facing products required; experience with educational products preferred.* *• **Experience creating Flex custom components.* *• Experience with Spring MVC.* * * *Responsibilities* *• Designing and architecting new product features. Working with external vendor partners to ensure product designs are sound and follow software best practices.* *• Developing in **Flex and J2EE environments.* *• Troubleshooting software defects and technical issues to find efficient solutions for development to proceed.* *• **Serving as support engineer for existing Flex and Java applications **that may require issue resolution or enhancement. Overseeing the activities of* * contractors* * who may also be engaged in this work.* *• Creating technical tasks out of requirements documents and specifications. Making accurate estimates for the tasks. Making commitments for task deliverables* * and delivering all tasks with minimal defects, on time.* *• Coding application changes that properly address user requirements.* *• Thoroughly testing code, as well as reviewing the code of others to ensure quality. Establishing sound coding and testing practices to ensure quality* * software builds.
