This position is capable of performing independently or as part of an integrated team. The position may provide direction to the team or operate under leadership of a supervisor, team leader or other Senior Programmer/Analyst. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Define and understand requirements specifications for software functionality. · Translate software requirements into software designs. · Implement code from the software design. · Understand and implement programming language syntax appropriate to the project. · Modify software modules/programs created by others. · Familiar with advanced functions of source editors, compilers, linkers, and tools. · Capable of effectively using the latest software design environments. · Can take the lead in the design of new modules/programs. · Can take the lead or assist in the analysis of requirements and user interfaces. · Define and design database applications. · Take full ownership for setting and meeting project schedules and reports status. Qualifications: EXPERIENCE: Minimum 7 years directly related experience in software development of commercial products.
