*JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a Tech Lead not PM type.
Solid infrastructure background
Business Intelligence background
Security background.

SUMMARY
Data standards and procedures, warehousing, design and development of
logical and physical data models and databases, distributed data management,
information management. Position will work exclusively on SQL Server 2008
R2.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties
may be assigned.
1.  Working independently within guidelines, manages database distribution,
security and access requirements.
2.  Forecasts long-range requirements for database administration.
3.  Ensures completeness and integrity of testing, reporting, back-ups and
restores.
4.  Designs and develops logical and physical layers of various databases.
5.  Utilizes logical model to ensure efficient and reliable database
performance.
6.  Provides technical assistance and mentoring to others for developing
conceptual, logical and physical databases.
7.  Adheres to administrative policies and procedures, priorities and
methodologies.
8.  Must have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
9.  Job duties may occur outside of normal business hours.
10. Familiar with other DBMS systems, including ORACLE and DB2.
11. Familiar with storage management concepts and forecasting.
12.Must have excellent understanding of MS SQL Server 2008 R2, including
complete DBMS management

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1.  Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
2.  Minimum five (5) years related experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  Ability to read
and interpret documents including process, procedure, and technical
manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to
speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the
organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference, and basic algebraic functions.  Ability to apply
concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to
practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability
to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram,
or schedule form.
