Location: WA Duration: 6+ months *Must have the following:* *-Migrating SQL Server from 2000 to 2005 and or 2008 -Migrating DTS Packages to MS SSIS 2008 -Able to put PM hat on and assist development team in coordination with EIT and management to migrate SQL Server 2000 to 2008 -Take best practices learned from previous teams and apply them to SSI in regards to establishing Standards, Best Practices as per SDLC and source control via MS TFS* ** Primary Duties and Responsibilities •Direct involvement with reviewing requirements, input to design, hands on development, data modeling, ETL and data mapping across projects •Build analytical solutions through sourcing existing database environments, designing and implementing OLAP cubes based on requirements and feedback. •Ensure all analytical and database systems meet business and performance requirements •Use current and enhance where needed database and server system’s monitoring applications •Do proactive maintenance and system optimization checks •Creation and maintenance of technical designs, data dictionaries, and systems operations documentation •Automate unit and functional tests Technical Skills 5 years of IT experience is required with a focus on the following Required Skills •SQL Server/T-SQL •MS Analysis Services •MS Reporting Services •SSIS (Or other Data Modeling Tool) •Data warehousing methodologies and practices Personal Qualities and Attributes •Team oriented approach to work but able to work under own initiative •Good interpersonal skills •Self motivated •Flexible approach to work Bonus Skills •.NET, C# •DTS •HTML, ASP •Excel (including VBA) •Oracle •Hyperion experience •Agile software development (TDD, XP) •Experience with Lean/Six Sigma -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
