MySQL Database Administrator
Insurance client is seeking a seasoned operational 5.x MySQL Database
Administrator to join our data group. This position will report to the VP of
Systems Integration and will administer and support a series of high volume,
high availability production e-commerce MySQL databases.
Description:
Job Responsibilities:
. Install, configure, and support 5.x MySQL databases in a 24x7 Linux
(Redhat) environment.
. Design, implement, and support production database backup and recovery
solutions.
. Design, implement, and support MySQL Clustering for high availability.
. Design, implement, and support MySQL Replication for production high
availability and business reporting.
. Design, implement, and support Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) jobs for
production application functioning and business reporting.
. On a rotational basis, support database related production application
releases.
. On a rotational basis, support off hour production database problem
resolution.
Required Skills
. Demonstrable MySQL 5.x operational skill set.
. Demonstrable Linux skill set.
. Basic understanding of e-commerce business operations.
. 5.x MySQL Certification a plus.
. BS or BA degree desired.
. Five years of experience as an operational MySQL Database Administrator.
. Demonstrable problem solving skills.
. Strong communication skills and team collaborator.
. Thrives in dynamic environment.
