Our ideal candidate has the drive to create new software products and the sophistication and experience to make this a reality. **** * * *Must Have:* - 5+ years of software engineering experience building and scaling large volume, high performance, technically complex, reliable and robust ecommerce applications. **** - Familiarity with a variety of software development processes, and ability to apply the right process for the project. Agile experience a plus.**** - Knowledge of release management and deployment workflow processes, from development release through staging and production deployment.**** - Strong understanding of mobile, search and social media technologies a plus.**** ** ** *Desired (but not required)* - Experience with at least one of the following: Scala, Java, or other strongly typed languages.**** - Experience with test-driven development, open source technologies, particularly within the Java context.**** - Working competency with relational databases.**** - Knowledge and/or experience with non-relational databases (NoSQL, KV (Key-Value ) stores).**** - Experience with small teams with wide responsibilities.**** ** ** *Responsibilities* - Work with the Chief Web Architect to define and drive the overall web architecture for new and existing ecommerce products, including core application features such as content management, search and browse, personalization, recommendations, social graph and community, internal tools, payment processing and registration.**** - Critically evaluate and integrate web technologies. Create and review software architecture with team.**** - Web application development along with clear documentation.
