Job Description:
Position: Java/ Flex Developer
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Duration: 12+ Month
Interview: Phone Hire
These developers will help in the server side development of a global sales web
application.
Responsibilities:
* Develop new products and perform upgrades, enhancements or maintenance
to existing products
* Effectively participate in functional/technical group discussions with
team members and requirements definition meetings with the Product team and a
variety of clients
* Explore product requirements to figure out technical difficulties,
recommend implementation approaches, and draft functional specifications (FRDs)
* Perform unit testing and provide guidance/support during Integration
testing phase
* Resolve defects during QA testing and in post-release patches
* Work and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and
clients as needed, including collaborating with team members or clients based
internationally
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
* At least 5 years of hands-on experience/knowledge in:
* Core Java development (J2EE & J2SE)
* Spring framework
* Experience creating and manipulating web services (REST)
* Oracle SQL (and PL/SQL) for joins, data queries, functions, packages,
etc…
* UNIX (prefer HP/UX or Linux)
* Experience with Weblogic or Websphere
* Experience with multi-threaded programming
* Excellent Problem solving skills.
* Excellent analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills
Nice to have skills:
* Prefer to have Sun Certification for Java Programmer/Developer or Web
Component.
* Experience with EJB’s
