*Title: *Senior Hyperion Essbase Analyst Location: Memphis, TN or McLean, VA Hire type: 6-12+ Months Contract Start Date: Immediate *Job description:* *Job Title* Senior Hyperion Essbase Analyst *Relevant Experience (Yrs) * 5 years or more ( in Hyperion Essbase ) *Technical/Functional Skills * 1. Should be clear on the concept of Multi Dimensional Database 2. Experience in Essbase 9.3.1 3. Should have knowledge of Essbase client server architecture 4. Able to start stop applications and database 5. Experience in writing Calc script 6. Able to design any kind of complex reports using report script 7. Understanding of different types of partitioning and able to create partition scripts 8. Should be proficient in Excel Add-in feature 9. Should be capable of writing Esscmd script to run report script, Load rule, partition script etc. 10. Should be capable of writing MaxL scripts. 11. Should be capable of taking daily backup 12. Should be capable of switching database between read-only and read write 13. Able to restore Application and databases 14. Should be capable of doing any security related activity in Essbase 15. Should be capable of designing the load rule to load the data and build the dimension 16. Experience in restoring data and outline from backup 17. Experience in recovering Essbase from any corruption. 18. Experience in using MS Sharepoint team sites 19. Minimum 4 years of experience in MS SQL Database or any other RDBMS 20. Should have experience in writing complex SQL stored procedures 21. Experience in web applications & IIS 22. Exposure to using VB script ( VB 6.0 ) 23. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Preferred Skills : 1. Able to create templates in Excel Add-in 2. Having Essbase certification conducted by Hyperion 3. Good functional expertise in BI field 4. Performance tuning and optimization of Essbase application & database, calc script etc. 5. Migrating Essbase from one server to another server. 6. Upgrading Essbase to higher version *Total Experience Required* 6 years or more *Roles & Responsibilities* 1. Essbase server support and maintenance. 2. Implement new enhancements and change requests in Essbase. 3. Regular interaction with client, for Essbase support and maintenance. *Generic Managerial Skills* 1.
