*Job Description:* * * This is a Senior Programmer position on a small development team working on building new small to medium sized web applications, with 10 - 100 users. The team will also be doing redesign work on existing web properties. Some web applications will be public-facing, and some will be intranet-based. The solutions will be web applications with Java / J2EE and Oracle 11g on Red Hat platforms, to be released on a virtual file to a production cloud environment. The functional requirements are emergent, so the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience developing in a novel environment with respect to their skill set at the time, and will be comfortable performing in an agile development environment. *Responsibilities:* The Senior Programmer will · Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installation. · Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. · Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. · Design, code, test, debug, and document those programs. · Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. · Be responsible for bug-free delivery of code for each project, and will work with the lead test analyst to prepare scripts that demonstrate conformance to technical and functional requirements (validation), and that there are no errors in the code (verification). · Regularly provide guidance and training to less-experienced analyst/programmers. · Ensure code is designed to meet customers, architecture, security, business continuity and disaster recovery needs. * * *Required Skills: * · JAVA / J2EE for web development, · XML · Oracle 10g/11g database · Creating triggers/packages/procedures · JSP, CSS, HTML is a plus · JBoss Installation and Integration · Java IDE. · Designing and/or building Web Services *Qualifications:* · Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related technical fied and experience. · 5 to 7 years of experience designing and developing complex models and working with the full system life cycle from requirements through implementation. · Solid system design, development and database related skills and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and client leads. · Experience of learning new environments and developing solutions on-the-fly · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Experience with a broad array of technologies, and can generally considered to be a web applications programming expert -- *Kevin Swarky* Swarky Solutions -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
