Location: Maine Duration: 3 – 6 months Right to hire *(Candidate must be GC, Citizen, EAD) willing to convert to FTE* Description: Responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the SAP R/3 FI/CO module. New GL, BW and BPC is a plus. Collaborate with internal customers, IT, and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, recommend and implement solution options. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · * **Troubleshoot functional problems in SAP R/3* and other application software when implemented. · Provide business analysis for the operations. · *Configure SAP R/3 and other application software functionality*to satisfy business requirements and business process design. · Assess available technologies and communicate SAP R/3 and other application software capabilities/possibilities. · Prepare business specifications for reports. · Develop business relationships and integrating activities with other departments to ensure successful implementations. · Lead small projects to ensure functionality is developed in a way that complies with business requirements and established methodologies & practices. · Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts. · Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels. · Provide back-up support on the Applications Support Helpdesk. · Create system User Guides. · Train end-users on new or changed functionality in the SAP R/3 system. · Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or business-related (Accounting/Finance) discipline, with an understanding of programming concepts or equivalent work experience and technical training. EXPERIENCE: · 3-5 years of experience in the functional areas of expertise. · 4 or more years of experience with SAP FI/CO (GL, AR, AP, SPL, CO-CCA, COPA, Product Costing) · Experience with adjoining areas like SD, MM, PP is a must. · Knowledge of and experience with project management techniques for cross-functional projects. · Experience with software unit testing , Integration testing and User Acceptance Testing. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills. · Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment. · Thorough understanding of business operations in a manufacturing environment. · Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with individuals at all levels within the company. · Good project management skills, operating as part of a team organizing, planning, and executing projects. · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Familiarity with relevant application architecture. · Strong knowledge of functional business processes preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: · High computer work. · Some world-wide travel.
