Position: Remedy Developer
Duration: 6+ months
Location: San Jose, CA and Phoenix, AZ
Interview: Phone Interview
Requirements:
· 3+ years of technical expertise building and support
custom applications built in BMC’s Remedy AR software platform.
· Excellent skills in problem solving, client interaction,
communication, and presentation.
· Deep understanding of the full Software Development
Lifecycle.
· Extensive background in client/server and three-tier
system architecture.
· Minimum of 7 years of system analysis, process design and
project/product development, with a good mix of functional and technical
expertise.
· Complete understanding of the quality assurance process,
test methodologies, and software quality management principles. Particularly,
experience in documenting and executing unit testing.
· Proven ability to design and create test plans, test
cases, and other test documentation.
· Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g. Rational
ClearQuest) and Source Control (e.g. Rational ClearCase).
· Proven ability to effectively work with business analyst
and development team.
Responsibilities:
· Participate in project design sessions with the project
manager and system users.
· Design, build, unit test, and integration test the custom
built Remedy AR system plus any necessary UNIX scripts, VB.NET scripts, or Java
programs to handle file manipulation.
· Confirm estimations of development time and perform
implementations according to project plans.
· Develop according to the design docs and follow best
practices while adhering to coding standards.
· Present completed code and completed unit test
documentation in code review session among IT peers.
· Apply problem solving skills and provide root cause
analysis as production or project issues arise.
· Interact with business analyst to create and review test
cases. Where applicable, program testing automation using testing tools for
such testing scenarios.
· Develop according to the design docs and follow best
practices while adhering to coding standards.
· Present completed code and completed unit test
documentation in code review session among IT peers.
· Apply problem solving skills and provide root cause
analysis as production or project issues arise.
· Interact with business analyst to create and review test
