MAX Rate $55/hour Phone Hire Job Opportunity Scrum Master Job Attributes: The Scrum Master assures that the Project Team lives by the values and practices of Scrum, agile and lean approaches to projects. They provide leadership for the Project Team, enable self-organization, and work collaboratively with the Product Owner to deliver high value solutions to the Enterprise. The Scrum Master will encourage project transparency and strong relationships across the organization. Major Job Function: Facilitates Scrum ceremonies, removes and escalates impediments, and encourages continuous improvement(s) by a dedicated, cross-functional team. In addition, the Scrum Master will facilitate development of the Product Backlog, and work with other BCBSNE Teams to coordinate prioritization and scheduling of project related work, ensuring that work aligns with Association Mandates, as well as corporate objectives and business priorities of BCBSNE. Essential Job Functions: 1. Assist Product Owner with establishment and maintenance of the Product Backlog 2. Facilitate the logical and systematic decomposition of work 3. Ensures that a solid Release Plan is in place and visibly tracks progress against that plan. 4. Facilitate Planning Sessions to derive high level design and estimation of work 5. Facilitate Sprint Planning Sessions to assist the team in deriving task details necessary to fulfill business and technical requirements. 6. Assist Team in tracking and meeting Sprint Goals. 7. Facilitate Sprint Retrospectives and focus team on continuous improvement 8. Protect and empower self-organization 9. Build high performing teams focused on business driven development and high quality work 10. Facilitate conflict resolution related to project activities 11. Be able to “roll up their sleeves” to facilitate team decisions and problem resolution 12. Constructively challenge ideas, detect hidden problems, and focus team to develop and refine solutions 13.
