Required Skills
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; advanced
degree desirable
* 7 years of experience in embedded Linux development
* Experience with hands on coding in C and C++
* Experience as a Software Lead
Job Description
This position is focused on the development and implementation of an embedded
Linux system and supporting features enabling guidance and control
applications. Successful execution requires developing system-level interfaces
between end-item units, protocols, libraries, client/server, and test programs
and methods. All software developed is documented and tested.
Responsibilities:
* Implement defined features in embedded Linux environment
* Integrate components and verify operation of resulting system
* Code in C/C++, suitable for embedded environment
* Define test criteria
* Generate tests
* Document, estimate, and account for performance of assigned tasks
* Diagnose, debug, and correct problems in hardware/software components
* Generate documentation
* Provide technical leadership when working in a team and mentoring team
members
* Responsible for combining existing packages and deliveries from
internal groups to create final release
* Familiar with RTOS concepts
* Familiar with embedded peripheral interfaces: e.g., SPI, serial, USB
* Capable of reading schematic
* Basic operation of oscilloscope
* Familiar with release strategies and bug tracking systems
* Work with version control systems
* Other related duties as assigned by Management and/or Executive Team
