Duration: 9+ months Location: Columbia, SC Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Introduction The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (SC DEW) is seeking a Senior Applications Architect to establish the application architecture of and lead the design and development of a Microsoft .NET C# web-based application. Deliverables • A functioning architecture and design for the application. • UML models and other documentation of the architecture and design. • A functioning application meeting the design. • Mentor developers and transfer knowledge of architecture, design and coding to the development team. • Contribute extensively to the ongoing development, review, and adoption of best practices for software development and application architecture. Qualifications • Strong experience with Application Architecture and played key role as Architect (min 2 projects) • 7 years of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (use case realization and object modeling), multi-tiered application architecture and application integration architecture (including SOA). • 5 years of .NET C# coding experience • 7 years of UML modeling • Must able to describe in great detail SDLC techniques and artifacts used in designing and implementing software systems using a use case driven methodology. • Strong communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings with business and technical staff.
