Hi,

I am looking for a system and network administrator in Chicago with travel
to NJ once a month at most. It’s a 6 month opportunity with possibility of
extensions for a client of ours.

Please revert back with updated profile along with contact details on
[email protected]

The candidates should be able to do the following:

you want to start off with someone on the system admin side who would be
able to slice in and determine the app performance bottlenecks and where
most time is getting spent. With that info, the candidate should be able to
then come up with hardware (still thinking server side) recommendations
from a tuning perspective.

As the next logical step, the candidate should also be able to understand
the network infrastructure including the VLAN buildout, look at the network
ports throughput and determine if the network broadcast/design is causing
any latency and how to best engineer the LAN layout to be secure and most
efficient at the same time.

Once the above steps are done, the candidate should be able to tune IIS/SQL
Servers to ensure the highest throughput.

*Technical Skills:*

Network devices we have are mostly *Juniper products* and *Coyotepoint load
balancers*. Server dardware is HP servers using Hyper-V virtualization. OS
– 2008 & 2003 – moving to 2008 R2.

Please let me know if you would be interested in this.

Regards,

Tejas Patel
