The candidate will be responsible for monitoring database health, availability, reliability, performance, capacity planning, and indexing. Examining and recommending performance tuning setting to improve the overall performance, growth and reliability of the database and resolving any problems that arise with the database. The candidate will participate as a member of a project team and suggest new methods, products, procedures and innovations that will improve system performance. Required Skils: · 8+ years Oracle DBA experience with an emphasis on performance tuning · 8+ years of relevant technical experience, including systems analysis, design and implementation · Technical expertise managing large Oracle 11g databases (2 Terabytes +) · Thorough understanding of Oracle 11g internals · Technical expertise managing Oracle databases in a UNIX environment · Expert skills with Oracle instance and SQL performance turning · Expert skills with Oracle cost based optimizer and statistics · Expert skills with interpreting execution plans · Expert skills with Oracle table joining and indexing techniques to improve query performance · Experience using stored outlines, histograms, SQL profiles and hints to control optimizer behavior · Experience using table partitioning and materialized views to improve query performance · Thorough knowledge of performance testing methodology · Expert skills using Oracle OEM and AWR tools · Ability to mentor and coach other Oracle DBAs · Experience in a 24x7 production environment · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision · Strong problem solving, analytical and documentation skills · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Experience working in virtualized environments (VM) · Experience working with Data Warehouse environments in addition to OLTP systems · Experience with ETL tools like Informatica a plus but not required Aditya | Blink Technology Partners, Inc. <http://www.blinktp.com/> Ph: 817 350 4429 | Fax: 817 977 0097 _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Note: We respect your on-line privacy.
