*Must have Large Scale System Migration experience* and have worked with various platform across mainframe, unix, databases. They are migrating their old Reservation System to a new one (TPF- Transaction Processing Facility). Any airline system migration is a plus, but they are open to other systems: such transportation systems, customer service systems, hotel systems, railroad systems, trucking systems, etc... They will define the data sources, get familiar with the data, begin defining their role on how to achieve the migration. Use current base and master table data, use docs from previous migration. This is a very hands on role. Must have performed a LARGE SCALE MIGRATION with different data sources. Knowledge of travel OR transportation OR other systems on a variety of computing platforms including Linux, Unix, z/OS and TPF they need to have a variety of platforms and systems. Ideally experience with large legacy system migrations since their old platform is on a Legacy system, but Legacy is not 100% a must. Knowledge of BPM and SOA based technologies JUST A PLUS Knowledge of data structures (XML/Schema) and experience with data transformation and movement methods and tools (e.g. ETL tools, data appliances) An understanding and/or development experience in XML, SOAP, UDDI, J2EE, .Net, WS-Security, ITIL processes, SOA Governance, Web Services Management tools, and Object Oriented Programming Visio, WebSphere Integration Developer, XMLSpy, Rational Software Architect, etc.) SOME OF THESE TECHNOLOGIES ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Description: Looking for a Migration Systems Analyst who will participate in a large cross-functional team of business and IT representatives to support activities in the development of a new large scale system. The Migration Systems Analyst will work with the IT team, project teams supporting the interfacing systems and other vendors to document data sources to be migrated from the legacy system to the new platform. Experience with various data structures and types as well as methods and scheduling of data migration is critical. This position reports regularly to management on migration strategy, challenges and project status. Other duties include documenting the existing environment and development of strategy and tasks describing the technical and business functions involved. Must have a proven ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently and successfully while promoting new processes, tools and methodologies. Having the ability to keep complex efforts moving forward quickly while exercising an appropriate level of discipline is required.
