| Duties & Responsibilites : | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Installation and configuration of MSSQL Servers Installation of MSSQL Server Cluster (Active\Active and Active\Passive) Actively monitor the database environment to increase efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize operating expenses. Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to MSSQL Server database issues encountered by new and existing applications in the environment. Backup and Recovery of MSSQL Server Databases MSSQL Server User Administration Analyze and tune application performance by optimizing SQL, stored procedures and triggers. Assist with stored procedure design and package development as required by development projects. Define and implement MSSQL Server replication topologies as per customer requirements. Generate clear and concise documentation. Excellent written and verbal communications; effective interpersonal skills; strong formal presentation abilities BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • B. S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other technical disciplines. • Experinece 8 years • Minimum 5 years administering SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 R2. • Minimum of 2-3 years managing VLDBs. • Minimum of 4 years general administration (optimization/installation/configure). • Minimum of 3 years managing/deploying/troubleshooting SQL Server 2008 clusters (2-node clusters). • Minimum of 2 years experience in administering SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services). • Minimum of 2 years administering and developing in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). • Minimum of 2 years authoring and maintaining PowerShell and/or _vbscript_. • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Quest Foglight, Quest Performance Analysis and\or Idera SQLSafe is a plus. • General understanding of Windows Administrative Functions. |
