The Project Manager will lead a small team to conduct a strategy study to
identify a solution for blend formulation/optimization and Laboratory
Information Management (test results) as part of the Lubricants Supply
Chain business. This solution will be needed in order to complete the OCS
Replacement Project. GPIMs replacement may be included in scope or handled
as a separate study outside of this Blend Formulation/Optimization/LIMs
Project. The candidate needs to possess strong project management skills.
Strong knowledge of CPDEP and other project management tools and processes.
Strong leadership, communication and facilitation skills. Also, knowledge
of implementing SAP solutions is required. Knowledge of the Lubricants
business would be a plus.

Job Description:

The Project/Program Manager defines job requirements for project planning,
scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and implementing project and/or
interrelated programs activities in a project/program office environment.
The job progression identifies responsibilities ranging from providing
support for small to medium projects to contract/proposal initiation to
final operational stage development of strategic or tactical business plans
• Plans, directs, and coordinates a cross-functional team’s activities to
manage and implement project and/or interrelated Programs from
contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage. • Leads the
project/Program team(s) in determining client requirements and translating
requirements into operational plans. • Ensures adherence to legally binding
requirements and client's long-term goals. • Facilitates status review
meetings among project team members and clients. • Works with senior
management on project/Program proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and
schedules. • Proposes and develops add-on Program opportunities. •
Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key Program criteria. •
Facilitates the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate
information is exchanged among key stakeholders. • Identifies and
recommends contingency measures. • Leads the Program team(s) in determining
client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans. •
Determines, monitors, and reviews all Program economics to include costs,
operational budgets, staffing requirements, subcontractors, resources, and
risk. • Works with senior management on Program proposals, bids, contracts,
estimates, and schedules. • Controls project/Program requirements, cost,
scope, and change management issues. • Typically manages a program with
multiple projects having a team size of around 50-80 FTE

Education and Experience equally evaluated for relevance

6+ Years Experience

• Strong IT Project Management experience with projects greater than $1MM
(5+ years) • Flexible; able to manage quickly changing priorities and adapt
and change course. • Experience with SDLC (5+ years) with good
understanding of business requirements, functional specifications, testing
practices, etc. • Vendor software deployment experience (3+ years) and
software as a service experience (strong preference) • Global deployment
experience (2+ years) and experience managing a globally diverse team (2+
years) • Chevron experience (preferred) • Leadership experience. Strong
capabilities in establishing priorities and focus, giving work direction,
coaching, encouraging collaboration, maintaining a positive and motivated
team. • Good communication skills. Clear and concise verbal and written
communication skills. • Background working with HR Talent Management and/or
HR ERP systems • Understanding of HR Talent Management processes especially
Learning & Development, Succession, Performance and Competency. • Prior
experience as an IT Business Analyst and requirements gathering • Proven
expertise in working with Business Unit customers to effectively gather and
communicate requirements.



Certification: PMP Certification and/or Chevron CSOC certification preferred



The OSETS Tool is used to manage reorgs and will be re-written or replaced
in order to meet future enterprise merger/acquisition & reorg demand. The
new tool should provide a standard solution that can be used
enterprise-wide.
