| Duties & Responsibilites : | Job Description: The Quality Assurance Lead Analyst position is a Lead Quality Management Office (QMO) position. The incumbent leads, plans, organizes, coordinates, launches and schedules Testing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and governance for Information Technology (IT) efforts, in support of corporate vision, mission, critical issues, tactics, goals and objectives. The incumbent works closely with IT and business associates at all levels across the organization, to mitigate risk and ensure that new or modified applications, systems and IT solutions function according to business and IT requirements and conform to established guidelines and procedures. The incumbent assists the QMO Manager in organizing and directing Quality Assurance and Quality Control for IT projects, solutions and QMO associates. The incumbent leads QA and test strategy efforts for articulation, planning, and management of multiple quality and testing efforts for several project teams. They identify gaps and inconsistencies and participate in reviews of requirements and design and other aspects of the development life cycle. The incumbent defines and manages the testing scope and objectives for complex, high risk, enterprise level IT projects. The incumbent leads QA and testing efforts, coordinates with business users to secure resources, outlines testing plans, and manages the test effort through signoff. The incumbent prepares metrics for the quality assurance activities. The incumbent conducts internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards. The incumbent defines and evaluates QA and testing metrics from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts and recommends and implements QA and testing improvements. The incumbent is responsible for recommending, leading, planning and implementing Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, techniques and methods to improve quality. Knowledge Expert knowledge of and significant experience with QA and Testing Best Practices, tools, models, principles, techniques, environments, systems and standards, and how they relate to business risk and strategies, are critical to effectively provide services to the organization. The incumbent must have expert knowledge of and experience with Information Technology tools, architectures, applications, processes, operating systems, software and hardware, for various platforms that include mainframe, web and distributed efforts. Expert knowledge of and experience with system development lifecycle, project management, quality and testing methodologies are necessary. The incumbent must have an expert understanding of business processes, goals, and applications, to effectively support QA and testing efforts pre and post implementation. Expert fluency in programming languages and experience with designing, developing, executing and maintaining programs, queries and scripts, and utilizing various software and hardware solutions necessary for quality and testing efforts and reporting are critical. Expert knowledge of and experience with various platforms, architectures, and data structures is necessary. The incumbent stays current with new techniques and constantly changing, complex technologies and paradigms. The incumbent must have expert data management skills including the ability to collect data from multiple sources, mask, encrypt, consolidate, manipulate, analyze and report using large data sets. Expert knowledge and understanding of established release management processes and policies in support of release integration testing, completeness, consistency and production validation is necessary. The incumbent should have expert knowledge and experience in building and leading effective teams, schedules, and plans for multiple high risk QA and testing efforts. The incumbent should have expert knowledge and experience in leading, monitoring and controlling multiple, high risk QA and testing efforts. The incumbent should have expert knowledge and experience in techniques to gather, report and analyze QA and testing metrics in support of recommending and implementing process improvements. The incumbent should have expert knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products. An acceptable testing score is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related field is required. The incumbent should have at least 7 years of IT experience with at least 6 years of QA and Testing related experience. The incumbent will be required to receive the ISQTB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification, ISQTB Certified Test Analyst Advanced Level certification and ISQTB Certified Test Manager Advanced Level certification through an accredited American Software Testing Qualifications Board (ASQTB) delegate upon hiring. Required: Able to solve complex problems and think logically and analytically Enthusiasm and passion for and commitment to quality and high standards, with close attention to detail Strong organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills Strong planning skills Ability to work well under pressure on multiple projects in a fast paced, complex, dynamic environment and set priorities, execute tasks and meet deadlines. Strong technical skills and the ability to grasp IT infrastructures, technologies and architectures Data and metric collection, analysis and verification abilities to guide decision making and implement continuous improvements Flexible and creative in approach and able to manage uncertainty Able to look at expected business outcomes and output criteria from every angle Strong leadership, and proactive issue and risk management skills Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with competing demands Proficient in process formulation, improvement and communication to others Initiative to keep day to day QA and testing activities moving forward without supervision Flexibility to learn new applications and project functionality |
