| Duties & Responsibilites : | The qualified candidate will have a strong understanding of VM Infrastructure, but more importantly have significant Linux and UNIX experience. The candidate will design/build/administer servers through VMware ESX server and VMware Virtual Center. Implement PowerCli and PowerShell scripting for reduced administrative efforts. Monitor utilization, capacity growth and performance across several sites. Work with Network, SAN and backup teams effectively in building and maintaining VMware environment. Experience in an ESXi-vSphere 4.1. As a secondary required skill, experience in Windows 2003/2008 from a systems engineer perspective including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft SQL. Required Skills: 6 years experience as a Senior Systems Architect/Programmer/Administrator/Engineer 4 years experience as a VMware Engineer/Architect. 2 years experience as a Windows Engineer working with AD/DNS/DHCP Experience working with Unix/Linux. 2 years experience with TCP/IP networking 4 years System Administration experience in a 24x7-production environment dealing with 500 servers 2 years experience with n-Tiered architecture Preferred Skills: VMware Certification MS cluster services Microsoft Certified Professional (MCSE, SCCM) Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Network Analysis and troubleshooting QA testing and performance experience |
