| Duties & Responsibilites : | ATTRESPONSIBILITIES
• Design IP/MPLS Network architecture, topology as per customer requirement and produce network migration plans/designs, failover methodologies, redundancy plans.
• IP/MPLS, Broadband, ATM Network migration design & planning.
• Plan, design and optimize routing for edge/core network and ensure service integration.
• Plan, design and evolve Quality of Service techniques.
• Develop and evolve IP addressing, naming and numbering formats for all network nodes and elements.
• Provide IP consultancy such as network migration, risk analysis.
• Should work on IP routing OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, BGP
• Should work on Internet gateway, route reflector, BRAS & ATM switches
• Should design and build test lab during network migration phase and successfully test various scenarios and prepare test reports.
• Should work on test tools such as traffic generator.
• Provide thought leadership to the Industry as well as internally on new developments in IP domain
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Network Planning, Design, Engineering & Consultancy in ISP Core/MEN/Edge/Backhaul
• Should have worked on at least one major project which involves Planning, Designing & migration of IP/MPLS/Broadband/ATM Network
• Should have design, planning experience of IP Addressing, ICMP, DHCP.
• Should have hands-on experience of Routing Protocols: RIP, IGRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP
• Should have hands-on experience of Switching Protocols: VLAN, VTP, STP, MPLS, MPLS Inter-AS
• Should have good understanding of Broadband xDSL & BRAS
• Should have good understanding of ATM
• Should have good understanding of Diffserv QoS techniques
• Should have hands-on experience on Juniper MX series, Cisco ASR 9k, Cisco ATM MGX/BPX, ALU 7750, BRAS
• Hands-on experience on Ericsson BRAS is preferred
• Should have hands on experience network migration, transformation
• Have excellent understanding of Telecom network standards and regulatory practices
• Knowledge of specialized Network Planning tools would be an advantage
• Have good analytical skills and a good judgement.
• Have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good Inter-personal skills
