Duties & Responsibilites :	As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will join a global BI/DB team working with business users and the technology team to understand business requirements and translate them into clear and concise technical specifications. This role will require you to: - Execute assigned development and BI analytics projects in an efficient manner - Design, develop, test and deploy BI solutions - Perform MS SQL Database design and development - Provide technical support in SQL Script and Business Objects to developers, business analysts and end-users. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop technical solutions across the middle-tier business components, database layer, etc. • Work through all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance • Write creative and efficient code to meet and exceed requirements • Investigate, analyze and address reported defects in a timely manner. Solutions to these problems can include code changes, data updates, or configuration modifications • Design and develop software in a group or independently • Assist in technical design and development reviews • Develop and integrate BI Client & Server-based visualizations Required Skills • Deep understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts • Exposure to one or more BI Tools such as JasperSoft (preferred) Pentaho, or Business Objects • MS SQL Server Development experience ( 7+ years required) • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of SQL Server 2012 and/or SQL Server 2008, including but not limited to: - stored procedures - synonyms and pointers - indexing - performance tuning of both hardware and software components • Knowledge of any of the following will be considered a plus: - OLTP, ASP.NET, XML, data structures and collections, Java and/or JQuery, caching, and configuration of application servers • Bachelor’s in information systems, computer science, or related field required - Advanced degree preferred
