This is a production/support DBA that ideally needs to have experience working with Powershell.
They also need to have experience working in an enterprise level environments managing over 200 databases.
They also need to have worked in a clustered environments and have good knowledge with performance tuning.
Job description of the role below.
Display strong inter-personal and communication skills.
Provide 24 x 7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members.
Provide troubleshooting for applications and systems.
Provide technical support for database related project activities.
Perform installs and upgrades of rdbms and associated software including third party tools.
Competence with most SQL utilities such as BCP, DTS, etc
Competence with basic database administration activities such as backup, recovery, etc.
Competence with T-SQL and knowledge of stored procedures, UDFs and triggers.
Competence with various monitoring and tuning tools such as Profiler, Precise, Spotlight.
Competence with shell scripting (i.e. command line applications, batch files, etc.)
2-4 years experience in a SQL environment.
Solid experience with Windows operating system.
Experience with 3rd party monitoring tools like Quest Fogligh, PA and Confio Ignite and implementation
MS-SQL Cluster and Replication , SQL 2008 and 2012
A degree in computer science or equivalent experience
