| Duties & Responsibilites : | *LOCAL ONLY
*There will be no OT for this position.
*The data analyst is responsible for participating in the identification, evaluation and recommendation of strategic sourcing improvement programs to drive cost savings and improve internal operations.
*The position provides analysis and recommendation to assist in the development of strategic sourcing initiatives.
*The sourcing analyst will perform complex data mining. Must contribute to the team's success, adapt to change and manage workload.
MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
.Perform analysis and recommendations to assist in the development of strategic sourcing initiatives and implementation of programs.
.Perform complex data mining, high-level analysis and research.
.Analyze performance results against established procurement metrics and maintain dashboards.
.Create and maintain databases for use by the various souring functions to assist them in further developing their respective commodities.
.Ability to communicate with the team, develops an understanding of their needs, and creates tools to aid in managing suppliers and sourcing performance.
.Assist in the development and integration of processes and procedures.
.Must be adept at communicating results of analysis and make recommendations to management based on opportunities identified.
.Demonstrated advanced PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
.Good analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
.Individual may perform administrative duties upon occasion (est. 10% of the time).
.Must be able to organize, plan and manage time to complete projects.
.Must be self-driven and work under minimal supervision.
.Conducts research, gathers and compiles information for reports.
.Participate and provide analysis for various sourcing projects on a regular basis.
.Interacts with peers, clients, and vendors, on matters of significant importance on a frequent basis.
.Involves planning and preparation of the communications.
.Requires skill, tact, persuasion, judgment, and/or negotiation to accomplish objectives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
.Bachelor Degree in business administration or other field which supports business operations required.
.Must have demonstrated advanced PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications |
