| Duties & Responsibilites : | JOB OVERVIEW: This is a project basedengagement. The goal is to get NetApp SAN which is already in production fully andproperly configured. The second part of the project will be to implement somesort of email storage and/or archiving solution using the SAN. Consultant willwork directly with other IT staff. The Product Specialist is theexpert for a technical development or execution environment product or set ofproducts. The primary responsibility of a Product Specialist is to ensure theavailability and facilitate the productive use of a product for ApplicationTeams or end users. The Product Specialist may own partof a product, all of one, or several products depending on the nature of theproduct(s) and their use. The Product Specialist requires significant to expertexperience and skills in the product supported. The Product Specialist willusually also have significant experience in the operating environment(s) (e.g.,HP/UX, NT, MVS, etc.) on which the product is implemented. If the productis one that was internally developed, the supporting PS should also have mostof the skills of a Programmer. The Product Specialist isresponsible for collaborating with Technical Architecture Specialist, SystemSpecialists, Programmers and vendors to ensure and enhance the use of theproduct and effect migration to new versions of a product. Years of Relevant Experience: 8 years Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technicalstudy. Role Description: Deliver support and design forindustry specific applications that require integration with statewide systemsor applications. Interact with executive levelbusiness users or technical experts. May function as a niche SME. Skills Required: NetApp SAN Hardware and SoftwareConfiguration and Administration Required 5 Years Microsoft Exchange 2007Configuration and Administration Required 5 Years E-mail ArchivingExperience -- various products, Required 5 Years |
